Richmond Industries Ltd is a privately owned Engineering, manufacturing and marketing Company, founded in 1964 to provide engineering services to the Motor Industry and its associated suppliers.
Its close association with the local Motor Industry led to the production of tow bars and many other industry related products.
In 1988 with the approval of the then Ministry of Transport introduced the first tow bars in New Zealand to be produced to a recognised standard. Viz NZS5446: 1987 now NZS5467: 1993 and International standard ISO 3853: 1977 now 1994.
Richmond Industries believe that a tow bar application is subject to a fatigue loading condition which is best met by the ISO standard. This requires the tow bar to be DYNAMICALLY tested so Richmond Industries engineers designed and manufactured the first purpose-built Dynamic Test machine in N.Z. which is still in use today.
Richmond Industries has over 40 years’ experience in design using CAD, Solid Works.
They employ only QUALIFIED TRADESMEN that are certified to NZ4711 standards and modern CNC machining and CNC plasma cutting equipment thus ensuring that our valued customers continue to receive the highest quality workmanship achievable.
